Zambia
The Bangweulu Wetlands is a wetland ecosystem adjacent to Lake Bangweulu in north-eastern Zambia. The area has been designated as one of the world's most important wetlands by the Ramsar Convention and an "Important Bird Area" by BirdLife International.

Zimbabwe
Lake Kariba, located on the Zambia-Zimbabwe border, is the world's largest artificial lake and reservoir by volume, filled between 1958 and 1963 following the construction of the Kariba Dam. It is a major tourist destination for houseboat safaris, sport fishing (tiger fish and bream), and wildlife viewing in the adjacent Matusadona National Park.
The Bvumba Mountains (or Vumba) are a lush, misty mountain range on the Zimbabwe-Mozambique border, 10km southeast of Mutare. Renowned as the "Mountains of Mist" (Shona for mist), they offer scenic views, cooler temperatures, botanical gardens, and unique wildlife like Samango monkeys, serving as a tranquil retreat in Zimbabwe's Eastern Highlands.

Matusadona National Park is a national park in northern Zimbabwe situated on the southern shore of Lake Kariba. The park takes its name from the local Matuzviadonha Hills.
Matobo National Park is in southwest Zimbabwe. It’s known for the Matobo Hills, a range of balancing rock formations created by erosion of the granite plateau. The walls of Nswatugi Cave feature Stone Age rock art. The park has significant populations of black eagles and both black and white rhinos. The grave of Cecil Rhodes, founder of former British colony Rhodesia, is carved into the summit of Malindidzimu.
Lower Zambezi National Park is in southern Zambia, on the Zimbabwean border. In the south, the Zambezi River valley is known for abundant wildlife, including buffalo, fish eagles and herds of elephants. Canoes ply the river, which is home to hippos and crocodiles. In the east, the river passes past the striking red cliffs of Mupata Gorge, with its fish-filled waters. North is the steep and rugged Zambezi Escarpment.
Mana Pools National Park is in the far north of Zimbabwe. It includes the south bank and islands of the Zambezi River, which forms the border with Zambia. The park is known for wildlife visibility beside the river and in the flood plains. Large populations of elephants, hippos and Nile crocodiles gather at sunrise in the Long Pool. In the park’s south, lions wait for prey around the waterhole at Chitake Spring.
Mount Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania, is the highest mountain in Africa and the world's tallest free-standing mountain at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level. It is a dormant stratovolcano with three cones—Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira—and attracts over 30,000 climbers annually to its summit, Uhuru Peak.
Botswana
The Makgadikgadi Pans in northeastern Botswana are one of the world's largest salt pan complexes, covering over 16,000 km² within the Kalahari Desert. Formerly a massive lake, this surreal, white, arid landscape fills with water during the rains (Nov-Dec), attracting vast zebra/wildebeest migrations, flamingo colonies, and offering unique tourism like quad biking.
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve covers a large section of central Botswana. Its harsh, sprawling terrain is dominated by grasslands, home to wildlife such as giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas and wild dogs. There are several fossilized river valleys, including Deception Valley and Passarge Valley, which offer basic campsites. Dirt tracks wind south through the reserve's remote landscapes to the Piper’s Pan area.

The Khwai Community Concession (NG19) is a 2,000 \(\text{km}^{2}\) wildlife-rich area in Botswana's northeast Okavango Delta, adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve. Managed by the Khwai Development Trust as a community-based eco-tourism project, it is renowned for year-round game viewing, including large herds of elephants, buffalo, and high predator activity, particularly along the Khwai River.
Rwanda
Rwanda is a premier destination for tracking endangered mountain gorillas, with over half the world’s population residing in Volcanoes National Park. Visitors can trek to see 12 habituated families, offering a rare, intimate encounter with these primates, often in a one-hour viewing session. Namibia
The NamibRand Nature Reserve is a private nature reserve in Southwestern Namibia in the Namib Desert. Founded in 1984 by J.A. Brückner, it has more than 215,000 hectares and shares a 100 km border with Namib-Naukluft National Park to the west and the Nubib mountains to the east.
Uganda
With all the attention focused on gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, it’s easy to forget that a Uganda safari can include classic savannah experiences too. It is famous for hosting the "Samburu Special Five"—rare species including the Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx—alongside large elephant herds and abundant leopards.
