Overview
Umkumbe Safari Lodge is a small, owner-managed luxury lodge situated on the southern banks of the Sand River in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. With only 6 suites, Umkumbe provides an exceptionally personal and unhurried safari experience where guests are known by name from the moment they arrive.
The lodge's location on the Sand River — one of the Sabi Sands' most productive wildlife corridors — ensures outstanding game viewing throughout the year. Elephant, leopard, and lion are regularly encountered along the river's sandy banks, while the area is renowned for some of the reserve's most prolific leopard activity.
