About Uganda Safaris
Uganda — the Pearl of Africa, as Churchill famously described it — is one of the continent's most diverse and rewarding safari destinations. Compact yet extraordinarily rich, Uganda packs in mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, Big Five wildlife, world-class birding, and dramatic landscapes within a country smaller than many individual game reserves elsewhere in Africa.
Uganda is home to half the world's remaining mountain gorillas — making it the premier gorilla trekking destination on Earth. But gorillas are only the beginning. Kibale National Park has the highest density of primates anywhere on the planet, Murchison Falls is the world's most powerful waterfall, and Kidepo Valley ranks among Africa's most spectacular and untouched safari landscapes.
A Uganda safari combines jungle encounters, savanna game drives, mountain trekking, and Nile boat safaris in one seamless itinerary — making it one of Africa's most complete and memorable wildlife destinations.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Half the world's mountain gorillas live in Uganda's forests — trekking to spend an hour with a wild gorilla family is a life-changing experience.

The world's most powerful waterfall — the entire Nile squeezed through a 7m gap creates a spectacle of extraordinary force.
1,000+ Bird Species
Over 1,000 recorded bird species make Uganda one of the world's top birding destinations — more species than the entire USA.
Tree-Climbing Lions
Queen Elizabeth's Ishasha lions climb fig trees — one of only two places on Earth where this remarkable behaviour is seen.
Mountains of the Moon
The glacier-capped Rwenzori Mountains straddle the Equator — one of Africa's most dramatic and unique trekking destinations.
Best Time to Visit Uganda
Uganda can be visited year-round, but the dry seasons (December–February and June–September) are generally best for gorilla trekking, game drives, and chimp tracking. Trails are less muddy and wildlife viewing is easier with less vegetation.
June to September is peak season — ideal for gorilla trekking and Murchison Falls boat safaris. The green season (March–May and October–November) offers lush landscapes, fewer crowds, lower rates, and excellent birding with migrants present.
