About Rwanda Safaris
Rwanda — the Land of a Thousand Hills — is one of Africa's most extraordinary travel destinations. Small, safe, and strikingly beautiful, Rwanda has undergone one of the most remarkable transformations in modern history, emerging as a model of conservation, good governance, and sustainable tourism that the rest of Africa looks to for inspiration.
Rwanda is the premium destination for mountain gorilla trekking — offering the most luxurious, well-organised, and exclusive gorilla experience in Africa in the spectacular Volcanoes National Park. But Rwanda's wildlife riches extend far beyond gorillas: chimpanzees and 13 primate species in ancient Nyungwe Forest, a fully restored Big Five savanna experience in Akagera, and recovering rainforest in Gishwati-Mukura.
A Rwanda safari is compact and efficient — most of the country's key wildlife destinations can be visited in a single 7–10 day itinerary, making it one of Africa's most rewarding and complete safari experiences per kilometre travelled.

Some of Africa's finest and most exclusive safari lodges cluster around Volcanoes NP — the gorilla experience here is unmatched.
Best Time to Visit Rwanda
Rwanda can be visited year-round. The dry seasons (June–September and December–February) are generally considered best for gorilla trekking — trails are less muddy and the trek is more comfortable, though gorillas can always be found regardless of season.
June to September is peak season offering the best trekking conditions and clearest views. The green seasons (March–May and October–November) bring lush landscapes, fewer visitors, lower lodge rates, and excellent birding — and gorilla permits are available year-round.
